Practical Magic

A Branding Guide for Writers

The Spell We Cast

Once upon a time, before readers even turned a page, a story whispered its first promise. It wasn’t in the words—those beautiful, lyrical, blood-sweated lines that kept us up until 3 a.m.

No. It was something more primal, more immediate.

The color of a cover that snagged their eye. The name etched across its spine—yours. The feeling it stirred, that magnetic pull, promising exactly what the reader didn’t know they were craving.

This, my friends, is branding. And if you think it’s about marketing fluff, step closer. It’s not. Branding is a kind of magic—one that calls out to your readers across the dark, whispering, ‘Here. This one is for you.’
